Today’s pick is The Most Serene Republic’s “The Men who Live Upstairs.” Not only do they allude to Igor Stravinsky (awesomeness) but this song incorporates a string quartet. I had the pleasure of seeing The Most Serene Republic in Chicago last summer at Wicker Park Festival. They had a ton of energy and put on a kick arse show. I also noticed that the bass player (I think) plays violin and trumpet.
